Created to Create was made for the parent raising a child who loves art—but who doesn’t feel equipped to teach it.
You do not need an art background or a perfect lesson plan. Amber teaches the art through video, while the Session Guide shows you when to watch, pause, encourage, and continue.
Amber teaches the art. You provide the presence and encouragement.
This is a gentle, guided experience for both of you: an opportunity for your child to build real skill and confidence—and for you to rediscover the courage to look closely, create freely, and approach beauty with wonder.
Created for parents and equally adaptable for grandparents, educators, co-op leaders, and other trusted adults guiding a child’s creative growth.
From the Artist
The story behind Created to Create
The cover artwork began with a memory of my daughter when she was two. She would hold flowers toward the ceiling lights and watch, completely captivated, as the light illuminated the petals.
I wanted to preserve that sense of wonder while also giving a quiet nod to Michelangelo's Creation of Adam — the moment of reaching between Creator and creation.
For me, Created to Create begins there: with the belief that because we are made by a Creator, the impulse to notice beauty, imagine, make, and create has been placed within us.
The little girl reaching upward represents what I hope children—and the parents guiding them—rediscover through this curriculum: the courage to look closely, create freely, and approach beauty with wonder.

Founding Pilot · Fall 2026
Help Shape the First Created to Create Cohort
Created to Create Foundations launches this fall with a small founding group of families, students, and community educators. Founding participants will experience the Foundations curriculum firsthand and provide feedback that helps shape its wider release.

Lead a Group
Co-ops, churches, and microschools bring the curriculum into their learning communities.
Pilot participants become part of the founding community—helping shape Created to Create before its wider release.
How It Works
Art instruction that doesn't leave the parent guessing.
Created to Create combines video-guided instruction with a companion guide that tells you when to pause, what to notice, and when to press play again.
Amber teaches and demonstrates each art skill on screen. You simply follow along with your child at a pace that works for you.
You don't have to teach the art lesson.
Amber does.
You bring your child, your attention, and your encouragement. Created to Create provides the instruction and structure.

Your Role
You don't have to know how to teach art.
Your job isn't to correct every mark or decide whether the artwork is "good." It's to notice — what your child sees, where they slow down, what they're proud of, what challenges them, and what they want to say about what they've made.
Your presence matters far more
than your artistic ability.

Course Structure
The Foundations Journey
Each phase builds on the last — from foundational skills to final exhibition.
Phase One
Foundational Skill Building
Through observation, composition, graphite drawing, acrylic painting, and an introduction to color temperature, hue, tint, and shade, students develop the artistic foundations that prepare them for the journey ahead. Faith is woven naturally throughout each lesson.
Phase Two
Design Thinking & Project Planning
Students develop their creative concept, explore personal symbolism, and thoughtfully plan their final masterpiece with intention and creative decision-making.
Phase Three
Creating the Masterpiece
Guided instruction and thoughtful refinement help students bring their final masterpiece to life while continuing to develop artistic skill, perseverance, and creative confidence.
Phase Four
Culminating Experience
Student Exhibition
The journey concludes with a student gallery celebration honoring each artist's growth, creativity, and completed masterpiece.
Photographs from our inaugural Fall 2026 Foundations exhibition will be added following the event.

Art teaches children more than how to make an image.
